Paul Wardski - Print Club London

Paul Wardski

BA Illustration, MA Printmaking and visual communication Paul Wardski is a print artist and print technician from London. Specializing in screen-printing and photolithography, Wardski’s works typically encompass landscapes from found articles, using ephemera and reworking books. Using landscapes from found articles with hand painted elements creating colorful and interesting works of art full of texture, mixed media hand painted elements, mono print and found imagery.

Wardski’s work is an observation and questioning of the relationship between people, their environments and the movement of people, focusing particularly with the ever decreasing natural landscape and the increasing encroaching urban environment. Using collage with found material he aims to explore how he identifies with images, articles, photographic and found imagery, material that he himself should have no recollected memory but invoke the feeling of nostalgia and worth.

Recent works focus upon lost people, the fragmented relationship with natural landscapes and unnatural surroundings creating a surrealistic fictitious almost eligible world. Source monitoring memory, a type of memory error where the source of a memory is incorrectly attributed to some specific recollected experience is a constant theme associated to his work.
