Lauren Baker (b. 1982) is a London-based multidisciplinary artist whose work explores symbolism, consciousness, and our connection to nature and the universe. Known for her use of light to reveal the unseen, she creates conceptually rich, visually striking works inspired by cosmic frequencies, natural elements, and human energy.
Baker has produced major site-specific installations for the Venice Biennale, Burning Man, Tate Modern, and the V&A. Her practice began after a transformative trip to South America in 2011 and has since expanded across sculpture, light works, and immersive installations. Her works are held in collections worldwide, and she has raised over £100k for charity while supporting rainforest regeneration with more than 8,000 trees planted.
Baker was born in Middlesbrough in 1982. Her practice began after a transformative trip to South America in 2011. She later refined her mosaic skills at Orsoni in Venice (2012) and specialised in Site-Specific Installations at The Art Academy, London (2017). She is represented by MTArt Agency, has been featured in Vogue, and received the Tate’s declaration that she ‘engages people in a unique and atmospheric way’. A Steinway grand piano encrusted with half a million crystals, commissioned in 2015, sold for £420,000. She is an Ambassador for One Tree Planted and Save Wild Tigers.
