Utopian Swim imagines a world where the everyday act of reaching water becomes something closer to ritual: a zigzag staircase climbs toward a turquoise lake, mountains rise sharply behind it, and an improbable geometric structure hovers above the scene as birds drift past. It’s Gregson’s brutalist instincts meeting her love of retro leisure — equal parts modernist daydream and seaside escape.
This A4 mini edition revisits a piece that sold out in its original run, hand-printed using the CMYK process and finished with 23ct gold leaf applied by hand in Gregson’s Hackney studio. The gold leaf doesn’t sit flat the way a printed colour would; it catches the light differently depending on the angle, adding a tactile, almost ceremonial quality to a print that’s already playing with ideas of utopia and ascent. Limited to 50 signed and numbered editions, it offers a more accessible way to own a design that proved popular the first time round.
