Crow is an original monoprint created by Margaux at Print Club during the warm spring-summer of 2025. Marking a new direction in her work, this piece is part of a limited series exploring the rocky journey and tumultuous flights of romantic relationships. Hand-painted on 300gsm Fabriano paper, it is a 1/1 original — bold, expressive and entirely unique. This series is exclusive to Print Club London.
The crow has always been a symbol of intelligence, transformation and the passage between worlds — here it carries the emotional freight of a relationship's difficult terrain. Margaux Carpentier is a French-born artist based in Stoke Newington who studied in Paris and Surrey. Her practice spans printmaking, painting, ceramics and large-scale murals, all created using analogue methods. Our guide to investing in original artwork is worth reading. Signed. £625.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Margaux Carpentier
Margaux Carpentier is a French-born artist based in Stoke Newington, London who studied in Paris and Surrey. She works across screen printing, painting, drawing, spray paint, ceramics and large-scale murals — her practice built around storytelling through symbolic imagery, created entirely by hand using analogue methods. Her work addresses the head, heart, gut and flesh: desire, connection and the vibrant oddity of existence rendered in bold, unapologetic figures and folk-inflected symbols. She is part of Animaux Circus studio and the Puck collective, and is represented by Art Friend. She was campaign artist for Affordable Art Fair Battersea Spring 2025 and has painted murals at London Zoo and Homerton Hospital. In her own words: ‘Creation acts as a window, an unlimited access to colour and pleasure.’
