Limited edition screen print made for Blisters: Way Back When.
Over six months Print Club London’s curators worked to bring together Blisters: Way Back When — a show themed around the past, inviting artists to draw inspiration from a favourite memory, an iconic historical event, or a moment they simply wished they’d been there for. The show was housed at McMotors with over 3,000 people through the door on opening night. Blisters is a platform for emerging talent alongside prolific artists — that year’s line-up included Pure Evil, Anthony Burrill and Ceal Warnants.
1969 was a year with a particular density of moments worth being there for: the moon landing, Woodstock, the Isle of Wight Festival, the Stonewall riots. Naomi Edmondson (aka Nomeski) is a London-based artist and designer and former professional freestyle skier. Her work spans illustration, graphic design and screen printing.. Her choice of 1969 as the year she wished she’d been there for is its own statement — a year when it felt like things were changing, and changing in a direction that mattered. Signed. £150.
