Printed on 350gsm Hahnemühle photo rag — a heavier and more substantial archival paper than most Giclee prints use, the rag content giving it a slight texture and a warmth that photographic paper doesn't have. Untitled Landscape 2 is a signed and numbered archival pigment print by Benjamin Thomas Taylor, the deliberately non-descriptive title leaving the image to speak without a framework.
Taylor's landscapes occupy a territory between the real and the invented — shaped by his upbringing in Snowdonia but processed through a Pop Art sensibility that saturates colour and heightens contrast until the familiar tips into something more vivid than memory. The Hahnemühle paper is a material choice that belongs to the archival end of printmaking: this is a print made to last. Signed and numbered, archival pigment on 350gsm Hahnemühle photo rag. £395.
