1970s inspired typographical screen print based on Oli’s love for all things disco. Seven layers plus a hand-applied diamond dust finish — the most technically involved of Fowler’s disco series, the diamond dust giving the phrase Let’s Go a literal sheen that suits both the imperative and the decade it references. Oli Fowler grew up in Kimpton, Hertfordshire and moved to London in 2000 to study fashion and textiles at Central Saint Martins before completing a BA in Graphic Design at Camberwell College of Arts. He has been a PCL technician and tutor for five years, values experimentation and allows chance and deliberate mistakes to direct the finished piece. Commissioned by Jeremy Deller, Fraser Muggaridge and LOM Architecture. Solo shows at Shaws Booksellers, Blackfriars and The Crown, Angel.. His prints are characterised by sharp shapes and pure CMYK colours; this one adds the physical material layer that the diamond dust provides. Signed. £150.
