ABOUT THE ARTIST
Lucille Moore
Lucille Studied Art Foundation at the Pittville Studios, University of Gloucestershire before going on to specialise in Textile Art at Winchester School of Art where she created mixed media sculptures and installations. She graduated from Winchester in 2007 with First Class Hons and was awarded a prize for outstanding achievement. Lucille continues to develop her own practice in mixed media and started to exhibit works in 2015. Her work is inspired by people and places, creating illustrative works with character. She is influenced by folk art and culture and has a particular interest in sacred art and rituals. She explores the theme of identity and often femininity, celebrating empowerment and also exposing vulnerability.
