Coloured pencil on 160gsm pastel paper — the second of Halifax's Floral Studies, a series of observational drawings that bring colour directly into her drawing practice. The coloured pencil on pastel paper produces marks of different character from pencil on white paper, the surface's own texture and slight colour tint participating in the image. Clare Halifax's drawing series runs alongside her screen print catalogue as a parallel practice — the sustained observational drawing made visible in its own right. Original, one-of-a-kind, signed. £350.
