The fourth in Clare Halifax's ficus drawing series in coloured pencil on pastel paper. The ficus as a genus includes a wide variety of species — rubber plant, weeping fig, fiddle-leaf fig and many others — and each study in the series represents a different encounter with a different plant. ABOUT THE ARTIST
Clare Halifax
Clare graduated from Loughborough University with a BA hons in Printed Textile Design. This was followed by an MA in Multi Disciplinary Printmaking from UWE which saw her work develop into Limited Edition Prints. Focusing on cityscapes, landscapes, botanicals and animals. Within each piece of work, design, pattern and colour, play an important part, adding depth and decoration to create a unique overall effect. Clients have included V&A Museum, ‘Coast’ Magazine, Liberty’s, Tate Online, Farrow & Ball, Huxleys Restaurant and the Berkley Group. Clare currently resides in London where she continues to be influenced by her everyday environment.
