Empathy for Beginners was made as part of the body of work Marcelina Amelia showed under the title I Only Want Everything at Brush gallery in Brighton, continuing the same confessional, symbol-heavy visual language as the rest of that series. Printed and then hand-finished, so each copy in the edition varies slightly.
