The mini format brings the Felix Blotter to a scale that echoes the actual blotter sheet more directly — the small, perforated square that the original object consisted of. Blunt’s de-bossing technique gives the print a physical presence that flat printing doesn’t achieve, the impression in the surface adding the tactile dimension that the source object had. His Wasted series works through the iconography of drug culture not as celebration but as re-contextualisation: taking the objects and images that defined a particular era and a particular subculture and examining what they mean outside their original context.
