Rien Ne Va Plus is a 4 colour screen-print all drawn by hand. All layers are created using analogue methods, and translate the ink and crayon textures used to create each stencil. This drawing is about everyday gambles, leading to desire, pain, ecstasy in a never-ending hunt for intensity. This screenprint was designed exclusively for Blisters: Time to Play in September 2023, which showcased over 50 emerging and established artists, each with a brand new and exclusive edition of handmade screenprints responding to the theme of PLAY. From fairground rides to broader concepts about colour and abstraction, the show comprised an array of styles from street art to fine art illustration. The exhibition presented pieces from renowned contemporary artists such as Anthony Burrill, Oliver Jeffers, Morag Caister, Lucille Clerc, Babak Ganjei, John Booth and many more. And many Print Club favourites of course! Boxed framed, white grain
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Margaux Carpentier
Having studied in Paris and Surrey Margaux spent the decadent years of her early twenties playing poker and developing a unique graphic style using various mediums, from 0.2 Rotring pens to tones of cans of spray paint, and now adapts her illustrations in 2 & 3D as well as large scale murals. Her imagery is inspired by encounters with colourful earthly, and extra terrestrial creatures, folk tales from around the world, and conversations with evil cats on a stoop.
