Introducing a fresh collection of explorative drawings by artist Kay — his first original artwork drop of the year. These vibrant, eccentric, and detail-packed pieces emerge from Kay's creative process, offering a glimpse into the foundations of his larger expressive paintings. Each drawing is a snapshot of the cultural and narrative themes he explores, weaving together mythology, history, and everyday life. In Kay's own words: "I'm into stories, myths, all the minutiae that contribute to the tapestry of life, stuff init."
Every 10 Years — the title implies a cycle, the kind of historical or personal rhythm that recurs with a regularity that is felt before it is understood. Kay Gasei's interest in the cyclical nature of human history and civilisations runs through his larger paintings and feeds into these drawings, the explorative process of the sketchbook laying the groundwork for the narrative complexity of the finished works.
Gasei was born in Lusaka, Zambia in 1991, studied Illustration at Oxford Brookes University (graduating 2014) and is London-based. He is admired for his use of small details that when found create a feeling of intimacy with the audience — a quality present in these drawings as much as in his larger work. Original drawing. Delivery & Returns
Returns for items in perfect condition can be made within 30 days of your initial order. If you wish to make a return you must inform us in writing within 30 days of making your order. When making a return you must send the item using a fully tracked delivery service and appropriate insurance as we will not be held responsible for items missing or damaged on their return journey. Please note, we cannot accept returns unless you have kept the original packaging and are able to repackage the item securely using this.
You will be given the option of an exchange or we will refund your payment minus postage. We aim to reimburse you within 14 working days. Items made to order are not subject to returns. For example, any artwork printed to order will be non-returnable. Due to monitor settings colours may vary slightly from the colours you see on screen. However if large variations occur we will advise before shipment.
We advise not to buy any framing materials until you receive your order, due to some variations in print and paper size.
Damaged items must be notified with 72 hours of receiving the artwork. After this point we cannot offer a refund or replacement.
If artwork is returned to us damaged and deemed unsellable we are unable to offer a refund.
Please note framed items are non-refundable. We offer a discretionary 2 months on framed artwork warranty.
If you return a print you will be refunded the value of your order, minus the original shipping charge paid.
If you exchange a print you will be charged shipping for the second order.
If your print arrives damaged and you need to return it then please advise us first and then send it back via 2nd class signed for. The maximum we will cover for return shipment is £4.00 for 2nd class signed for UK and £20 for international.

If you order a print for collection but fail to collect we can hold the print for 6 months after which time it will be returned to the artist and no refund will be given. Any artwork not collected within 30 days of the initial order is not eligible for a refund.
If you want to return a print after 30 days it is the galleries discretion to refund or offer a credit note. We do not offer refund on all extended returns.
Gift vouchers are eligible for refund within 30 days of placing the order, to the original cardholder only. Vouchers are not exchangeable for cash, and can only be redeemed against purchases or workshop bookings from printclublondon.com.
If you’re not happy with your artwork, simply return it to us within 30 days of delivery.
Kay Gasei was born in Lusaka, Zambia in 1991, moved to England shortly after his birth and studied Illustration at Oxford Brookes University, graduating in 2014. He is a mixed media artist, illustrator and designer based in London whose practice explores culture, mythology and history — Greek mythology, African folktales and Asian narratives — through symbolism, recurring motifs and nondescript characters who act out these stories in abstract spaces. He cites Goya and Hogarth as influences for their narrative precision and meticulous detail. His recurring characters include Od (a protagonist developed during his university years), pilgrim-like faceless figures, and the black figure that emerged from a 2016 BLM commission — a starkly different presence from his earlier white-line hedonist figures, representing acute consciousness and connection to suffering. In his own words: “I’m into stories, myths, all the minutiae that contribute to the tapestry of life, stuff init.”
