“In this body of work, I wanted to explore the textures and rituals found in our seascapes, our relationship with the sea and how it can affect our emotional wellbeing. This is a subject I wanted to explore as swimming helped me immensely during the COVID lockdown. To do this, I organised various photoshoots around the Dublin coast.” – Brian Giles
Each photograph has been translated into the screenprinting method via CMYK separation, with each layer hand-printed by the artist, experimenting with fluoro inks and colour fades to create dreamlike finishes.
