Last night Print Club London launched a selection of new limited edition, hand finished screen prints from London based Street Artist, Donk.

What better way to spend a Thursday evening in Dalston than with an exclusive opening night at our Print Club London Gallery.

Donk made his debut last night with his first solo show, Playtime.

“Playtime serves as a reminder of the slightly glib truism that; no matter how tricky things get we’re not here for a long time, so we may as well try and have a good time!”

The image which has become one of the artists most recognisable is actually his son wearing pyjamas and a fancy dress native american headdress. “He just got up one morning and put it on so I took a few pictures and it evolved out of that. There was one image where he had just blinked, it wasn’t planned it was just one of those moments. I think what people like about it is the vulnerability theres a kind of nostalgia to it.”
