Zigmunds Lapsa

Zigmunds Lapsa is a Latvian illustrator and graphic designer who grew up in Riga and studied design and typography at Central Saint Martins before completing an MA at the Royal College of Art in 2016. His multidisciplinary practice spans book cover design, cultural branding, editorial illustration, silkscreen printing, zines and GIF animation, often blending analogue and digital techniques. He specialises in book cover design and visual identities for music, film and cultural festivals, with clients across Latvia, Estonia, the Netherlands and the UK. Since 2020 he has been developing a printmaking and drawing practice exploring collaging, drawing, folding and cutting. His Nice Town collection — a playful, observational series capturing fleeting city moments — was created during his Print Club London residency in May 2025.
