Sir Quentin Blake’s loose, energetic line work has shaped the visual memory of British childhood for decades, most famously through his long partnership with Roald Dahl, where his drawings of the BFG, Matilda and the Twits became as inseparable from the stories as the words themselves.
He taught at the Royal College of Art for over twenty years before being appointed the UK’s first Children’s Laureate in 1999, a role created to champion children’s books and reading. He was knighted for services to illustration in 2013 and made a Companion of Honour by Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
That same fluid, unmistakable hand is what makes a Quentin Blake print instantly recognisable on a wall. Print Club London is proud to offer a small selection of his work as limited edition screen prints, each carrying the charm that has defined his illustrations for the better part of seventy years.
