Hannah Gilson is a London based illustrator and educator whose mixed media practice combines painting, screen printing and drawing. Evolving from a predominately fine arts background, her work has naturally settled with hand drawn and digital illustration, where she engages with popular culture and aesthetics
She was recently awarded the Boodle Hatfield Printmaking Prize for her piece ‘Flowers’ and will have her first solo showcase at the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair in 2023.
She exhibits her work through The Other Art Fair and the Affordable Art Fair, Her work was recently selected by House Of Hackney for their ‘Lets Fill This House With Art’ collection.
More commercial work includes selling prints through retailers such as IKEA, Anthropologie and La Redoute. Commissioned work includes editorial illustration for the Evening Standard Magazine and a contemporary card range for Woodmansterne cards.
