Print Club and Bob Gill
Bob Gill is a designer, illustrator, writer, film-maker and teacher. He was the Gill in Fletcher/Forbes/Gill which eventually became Pentagram. He was elected into the New York Art Directors’ Club Hall of Fame, and the London Designers and Art Directors (D&AD) presented him with its Lifetime Achievement Award. He’s written a number of books about design and illustration. His latest, published by Laurence King, is “Bob Gill, so far.”
We approached Bob earlier in the year in the hope that he would come and get inky with us and we are super excited to announce that we have produced 6 screen prints from his catalogue which he came in and hand coloured, making each one completely original!
Bob was in the studio 2 days this week, hard at work hand colouring his gorgeous screenprints! The lovely people at DandAD came in as well to film Bob at work and talking to Serge Seidlitz and Margot Bowman, two illustrators from our creative studio Millers Junction about the future of illustration and the growing popularity of screenprint as a medium.
