Exploring London Design Festival – Day 1

As the vibrant buzz of the London Design Festival kicks off, Print Club London has been on the move, immersing ourselves in some of the city’s most exciting exhibitions. Here’s a rundown of today’s adventure!

FLOOR_STORY – 10 x 10 Exhibition

We started our at the FLOOR_STORY “10 x 10” exhibition, a captivating showcase that celebrates the intersection of art and flooring design. This unique exhibition features ten outstanding designers, each tasked with reimagining a 10-square-meter space using innovative flooring solutions. The result is a stunning array of textures, colours, and concepts that challenge traditional perceptions of interiors. From playful patterns to sustainable materials, the creativity on display truly sets the tone for the festival.

This exhibition features new editions from Henry Holland, Kangan Arora, Camille Walala, Adam Nathaniel Furman, Kitty Joseph, 2LG, John Booth, Gill Thorpe, Flock Studio and Diane Bresson.

2LG Studio x Haricot Gallery – You Can Sit With Us

We made our way to the delightful 2LG Studio x Haricot Gallery: “You Can Sit With Us” exhibition. This collaboration invites guests to explore a playful approach to seating, featuring a collection of innovative chairs and sofas that blend comfort with artistic flair. The exhibition not only showcases stunning designs but also encourages social interaction, with inviting spaces for visitors to gather and connect. It’s a celebration of community and creativity, perfectly embodying the spirit of the London Design Festival.

Dezeen – Design You Can Feel Exhibition

Our final stop was to the Dezeen “Design You Can Feel” exhibition, which emphasises tactile experiences in design. This exhibit showcases an eclectic mix of works from renowned and emerging designers who explore how touch can enhance our interaction with everyday objects. Visitors are invited to engage with a range of materials and forms, sparking conversations about sensory design and the emotional connections we forge with the items around us. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in the future of functional aesthetics and tech!
