In the vibrant mosaic of modern culture, these works / creations reimagine deities arising from urban street environments to bring us messages of mindful transformation blending the ancient with the contemporary.
Free-spirited, UK-based artist Ben Allen is most well know for his controversial Pop paintings. Using a collage style of unlikely juxtapositions, the dynamic paintings are complex mash-ups of popular culture that critique the day-to-day dull and mundane, challenge the media’s view on sexuality and inspire a sense of freedom. Inspired by underground surfing and skateboard street scenes, Ben’s art manages to capture the elusive zeitgeist. His clients now include Vans, Converse, the Amy Winehouse Foundation and Levi’s.. to name a few.
Ben Allen’s journey as an artist has seen his work constantly evolve, becoming more and more sought-after. He travels worldwide for clients and events where he often collaborates with other top artists. He releases his work only in limited editions.

With a broad mixture of approach, composition and concepts our new Print Club Originals exhibition promises a showcase of unbridled painterly talent. At first seemingly uninvolved with one another each work has found a way to interact in a cohesive manner with its neighbour and with you; it’s viewer.
Featuring works by Laxmi Hussain with her stoic patterns and free flowing figurative works on paper, Gavin Dobson’s nostalgic and emotional paint work, Adam Bridgland’s wistful and abstractly delicate work and finally Alec Cumming’s observational, ‘rose-tinted’ pieces – every aspect of human emotion is brought to the surface in a playful and visually eclectic selection of art that is full of form, figure and space.

Neil Carter’s work is original, innovative and boundary pushing, often incorporating multiple creative disciplines to achieve the final result.
After years spent working in some of the world’s top multi-disciplinary creative agencies and broadcast corporations Neil expanded his personal practice to include filmmaking, photography and the latest 3D print technologies.
Carter’s on-going multi-series of prints fall under an umbrella theme of ‘sport’. He has interpreted it in a way not seen before; subverting the vocabularies, dissecting the equipment, incorporating the textures and terranes abstractly depicting movement, poses and posture.
A life-long sportsman himself, the phrase a ‘healthy body, healthy mind’ resonates throughout his work, often physically demanding in its production, the end works are both aesthetically and cerebrally challenging.
His first solo show “The Summer Ball Games” is taking place in Print Club London this summer to coincide with the Euros and the Olympics and his sculptural work has been exhibited in the Royal Academy Summer Show.
Exhibition open 4th – 12th July 2024.

Intrusions is a solo show by Valeska Hykel, exhibiting brand new unique monoprints and original paintings.
Valeska is a painter and printmaker based in Bristol. Her work is an ongoing dialogue between these two practices. Painting directly onto the screen’s mesh she creates monotypes that toy with the boundaries of painting within print.
Through a language of bold, gestural brush marks and an almost edible colour palette, Valeska explores the impossibility of uncovering ideal forms and celebrates the imperfection that process gives rise to. The resulting work comes forth as grand abstracts that play with notions of beauty. Referencing the magnificence of 17th century European still lifes, Valeska strives toward deceptively aesthetic work that symbolises the ongoing transparency between life, degeneration, and death.
Intrusions is comprised of a new body of screenprinted monotypes, painted spontaneously and directly onto the screen’s mesh, as well as the first of her large abstract paintings on canvas. Valeska was awarded the Rebecca Smith Prize for Printmaking, and in 2022 she was selected as a ‘Top Pick’ from the Curated Hang by the directors of Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. Later completing Print Club’s Artist Residency programme in April 2023.

Junction is an exhibition of artworks pieced together by creatives at Millers Junction, an open-access workspace run by Print Club London and situated in Dalston.
The show title of Junction aims to reflect its own definition as a crossroads where creatives and disciplines meet.
Millers Junction serves as a workspace housing a community of small companies and freelancers operating their own practices and business in areas of film, art, design and advertising. Within this environment, individuals cultivate discussion, community and camaraderie that is unique to shared workspaces.
The community aspect at Millers is a key factor in the sharing of ideas, feedback and support and with this in mind, Junction is a platform for studio members to engage in creating and expressing from their own individual perspectives of practice and work.
Join us in the Print Club London Gallery for Junction as we showcase and celebrate practice and expression as a result of creative community.

What happens when two artists meet randomly at a London art fair a handful of years ago, become friends, and encourage each other to be even better versions of their artistic selves?
Angela Morris-Winmill and M.E. Ster-Molnar are doing just that. Through their shared fashion background from two sides of the world (Australia and the United States), they’ve taken their love of colour and trends and delved into new art techniques in the city that they each now call home – London. Angela loves details and diamond dust and perfectly finished gold leaf. M.E. often uses what’s on hand, colours outside of the lines and loves how imperfections can be the best part of the process. Conversations and shared time in the print studio between the two artists help to push boundaries, stumble into new ways of working, and often create richer work because of their shared enthusiasm and connection as friends. The monoprint process is a perfect screenprinting technique for each of them. Expectations fall away and instead, sublime beauty and better outcomes often emerge.
“Stumbling into the Sublime” at Print Club London features sketchbook concepts to finished works on paper and canvas and even a bit of soft sculpture created by both of these artists. This show highlights individual and collaborative works that push towards new ways of seeing beauty in the nuances, imperfections and unexpected beauty created through monoprinting.
All artwork will be available to purchase on the night.
FREE DRINKS provided by our kind sponsors: Whitebox Cocktails, Two Tribes Brewery and INTUNE CBD Drinks.

We are delighted to say that after an unscheduled hiatus, our iconic screenprinted poster show, Blisters, is officially back. This year, it is time to play!
Blisters: Time to Play will be full to the brim with 50 artists, each with an exclusive limited edition of screenprints, selling for the one-night-only price of £50 a print. OPENING NIGHT SEPTEMBER 2023
This is the 9th Blisters show since Print Club London was founded 15 years ago, and we are sticking true to our original values. Uniquely ‘Print Club London’ in personality, Blisters is designed to showcase a curated selection of artwork from emerging to established artists on a level playing field. All artworks are handmade screenprints signed by the artist in a numbered limited edition, accessible to a wide audience at a set affordable price.
Artists we have collaborated with in the past include: Marc Quinn, Anthony Burrill, Pure Evil, Ben Eine, Dave Buonaguidi, Lucy Mahon, Luke Edward Hall, Charming Baker, Alexandria Coe, Magda Archer, Mr Bingo, and many more.
Previous years have attracted 2000 guests on the opening night, with 1000s of artworks sold in a matter of hours. After a few years off, this year we’re coming back with a bang!
Submissions are now open to all for our 9th edition, Blisters: Time to Play, find out more below.
What does PLAY mean to you? This could be literal; a game of chess, a tennis match, an instrument. Or figurative; a play on words, to play a joke, or to play with fire.
From as specific as a playground swing, to as broad as playing with the concept of reality. We encourage you to think outside the box, and have a play!
Within this show we aim to celebrate the notion of play from the light-hearted to the scholarly. Physical and psychological benefits of play within children and adults are already long-proven for education, problem-solving and emotional wellbeing. In the words of the honourable David Hockney; “People tend to forget that play is serious.”
Keep an eye on our socials for snippets of inspiration over the coming weeks. Have fun, and no need to play it safe!
– Submit an artwork in your own style inspired by the theme of play, whatever this means to you. The more playful, the better!
– Your artwork submission must be COMPLETELY new and original for this project and never seen before. We will not accept submissions that are displayed anywhere else, including a personal blog or portfolio.
– Artwork specification: B2 format (500 x 700mm) but can be portrait or landscape.
– Submissions must be sent as low-res jpeg files to [email protected].
The file must be saved as ‘YourName.jpeg’. You may submit as many designs as you like, but any submissions which do not meet this specification will not be put forward for review.
– If successful, we can offer free use of our screenprinting studios to print your edition for the show (you must be a confident screenprinter to use our studios, and familiar with the entire process).
– If you aren’t a screenprinter then you will need to consider the cost of producing your artwork with a printing company. Please be aware that the more colours you choose the more expensive it will be to produce. You can speak with our sister company Tuckshop London who will be able to provide you with a quote, please email them directly on [email protected] to enquire.
Important information: We encourage all styles and mediums to submit, the more diverse the selection the better, but not all design is destined to be framed and cherished inside the home environment. When responding to the brief, please be mindful that the main objective of the poster you create is to be an artwork hung in someone’s home!
Q: I’ve never made a screenprint, can I still submit an idea?
A: Yes! We encourage all artists to submit. You can create your original design in any medium e.g. digital, painted, collage, illustration, typographic, etc. But the final limited-edition artwork for ‘Blisters: Time to Play’ must be a fully screenprinted poster! See ‘PRODUCING YOUR SCREENPRINTS’ further up this page to learn more.
Q: If I have an existing piece of art which I think suits the brief, can I submit this?
A: The artwork for your submission should be completely original. There may be elements from previous projects but the artwork should appear to be new as a whole.
Q: Does the poster need to contain text or type?
A: No, this is up to you. “Poster” is the format size paper and the term we use to describe this. You can either:
-Create artwork that is composed of visual illustration or design
-Submit an entry composed entirely of a typographic design
-Mix the two!
Q: If I have several designs, can I submit more than one?
A: Yes, you can submit as many designs as you like! Please save the files as ‘YourName1.jpeg’, ‘YourName2.jpeg’, etc.
Q: What is the edition size?
A: All artworks will be numbered out of an edition of 100, with a minimum of 50 prints to be printed and signed for the artwork delivery deadline. The artist may choose to print the rest of the edition at a later date depending on sales demand.
Q: Can the artist choose the price?
A: No, it is a key part of Blisters that all artworks are the same set price, this will be £50 at the physical event and £100 online thereafter for any prints remaining in the edition.
Q: How much of the profits will go to the artist?
A: It’s a 50/50 split between the artist and Print Club London. The artist will receive 50% commission as will Print Club London.
Q: What happens to prints which remain unsold?
A: All prints are sold via Print Club London on our online gallery after the show.
Q: Do they remain the property of the artist or of Print Club London?
A: They’re owned by the artist/designer, but we retain the right to be the only seller of these prints as they have been commissioned for a show we have curated.
Q: Who owns the rights to the image?
A: Artists always own the rights to their work. However a rule of Blisters is that the work is commissioned on an exclusive basis and cannot be reproduced at a later date as another screenprint or giclée, unless with Print Club London.
Q: If ownership remains with the artist, can the artist resell them elsewhere – for example, through independent shops?
A: No, the prints can only be sold via Print Club London.
Q: If the artist is not producing the prints themselves will Print Club London be producing them?
A: Artists are responsible for printing their own artwork. They can use our studios for free if they know how to print! If artists are unable to print they can ask Tuckshop London, our bespoke printing service. Please note that Tuckshop London do have limited capacity, so printing services will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
Join us for a fun night of doodling in our Hackney Studios led by illustrator @geolaw. Enjoy a drink on us, take part in doodle club and try your hand at screenprinting in the studio!
All welcome but RSVP is essential! Please RSVP to [email protected].

Since the launch Print Club London have raised over £150,000 for the charity Help Refugees to date.* This couldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our artists using their talent to produce pieces of art for our gallery and our customers who invested in the beautiful art and the cause! Here’s where your money has gone and how much of a positive impact it has had!
*Amount raised as of Oct 2020
£5,000 has gone towards diapers for Lesvos.
There are 8000 refugees currently living in Moria camp – which was designed for 1500 people. Help Refugees fund many of the services and support available to people living in there and the diaper programme is a big one as there are almost a thousand babies in the camp.
£8,000 has gone towards Refugees4Refugees on Samos
Refugee4Refugees have done incredible work and equipped thousands of people with non-food items over the past months in their distribution centre. Meanwhile all women and children have access to non food items, which consist mainly of clothes, hygiene-items and sleeping bags. In March and April, our partner organised NFI distributions for all male residents of the camp using a ticketing system. Furthermore prams were distributed for babies in their free shop and provided to different projects around the island. New arrivals get 2 sets of everything including a hygiene package, shoes and a jacket. The organisation is still only sustainable actor on the island that provides NFIs in large quantities.

£8,000 has gone towards Medical care on Samos.
Due to overcrowding on the island, the hospital and the doctor in the camp are overwhelmed. Therefore Help Refugees’ partner Med’equaliteam offer additional medical care. Their clinic is visited daily by 70 – 100 patients and is open 6 days a week. The clinic collaborates with and makes referrals to the hospital. Furthermore, they run medical workshops in the community centres on a weekly basis.

£12,000 has gone towards supporting community and educational needs. We have supported centres including the Orange House offer language classes and vocational courses for displaced people, as well as psychosocial and legal services.
£11,500 has gone towards dry foods and nutritional provisions. Our money supports partners such as InterEuropean Human Aid Association which provides meals for communities in Northern Greece. We’ve also funded food baskets to Pikpa, and independent community living in Lesvos so they can cook communal meals with their kitchens.
Additional food is provided at the following projects:
We are One‘s safe space for women and babies: The team offers fruit, eggs, fresh salads and drinks for all the participants. Babies under 2 years receive bananas and other snacks. Pregnant women get some extra food, such as nuts. Each Monday, on the ‘pregnant women only’ day, a warm, nutritious meal and a fresh salad is served that is explicitly aimed at the needs of pregnant women.
Mazi Youth Centre run by Still I Rise: Breakfast and lunch is given daily as well as dinner once a week for all the students (unaccompanied children).
Baobab Community Centre for Families: Light meals are cooked on site and available in the centre. In the last weeks they were preparing up to 250 – 300 meals a day. There is hot tea and water to drink.
Action for Education‘s Banana House: One hot and fresh meal is provided for each of the participants daily. Every month they serve around 2500 meals.
Thanks to your support, together with our partners we are currently looking into options to start providing supplementary food for babies from 6 months – 24 months.

£3000 has gone towards the monthly running costs of Say it Loud Club in London, a team of staff and volunteers that support LGBTQIA+ refugees and asylum seekers. The Say It Loud community provides a valuable support system for LGBTQIA+ refugees as they gain the right to live freely in the UK.
£10,000 has gone towards a grant to SOS MEDITERRANEE so they can resume live saving search and rescue missions in the central Mediterranean Sea. Since March 2016 their team has rescued 31,618 children, women and men.
We want to thank everyone that has supported this project so far. If you would like any more information about how your money has been spent do get in touch with [email protected]

This project wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our artists, especially Adrian- Florin Ardelean and his team who produced our behind the scenes film showcasing some of our favourite artists creating their ‘Choose Love’ pieces.

Print Club London and Help Refugees are inviting you to ‘Choose Love’, a fundraising exhibition held at our Dalston studio gallery to raise money in support of the incredible work of Help Refugees. The project will launch with a private event at Somerset House on World Refugee Day and all of the exclusive artworks will be on show for the public at our gallery space.
Exhibition Opening Friday 22nd June 6pm – 8pm
We are honoured to announce our latest collaboration with Help Refugees. Over the last few months artists including The Chapman Brothers, Stanley Donwood, Lauren Baker, Quentin Jones and Mr Bingo, as well as Print Club studio members, have been making their mark on the iconic ‘CHOOSE LOVE’ slogan originally created by Katharine Hamnett in the 1980’s. From print making to collage and photography each artwork is a one off and completely unique in its design. You’ll have the chance to buy exclusive prints from established and upcoming artists with all proceeds going directly to Help Refugees.
We really hope too see you at the exhibition and get your support for such an incredible charity.

Blisters is back for its 7th edition!
You’ll be glued to the screen…
BLISTERS: SEASON SEVEN
A FULLY SCREEN-PRINTED POSTER EXHIBITION
After the success of Our Blisters show in 2017, we’re bringing you back-to-back episodes of your favourite screen-printed poster show!
It’s based on ‘TV SHOWS’ and it’s an entirely hand-pulled screen-print show!
Tune in and take inspiration from your favourite TV show, cult classic or famous one-liners!
Coming September 2018
We are now open for submissions and want to get the word out there to any illustrators/aspiring artists who want to take part.
Blisters: Season Seven – The Brief
ONE. Submit a poster in your own style inspired by your favourite TV show, cult classic series or a famous one-liner!
TWO. The catch is that, you cannot use the name of the show or character names! Use of other text is allowed of course, but this should stand alone as an image/scene/typography
THREE. Most importantly, your work must be COMPLETELY new and original for this project and never seen before! We will not accept any submissions that are displayed anywhere else, including personal blog or portfolio.
FOUR. The artwork specification – It needs to be in B2 format (500 x 700mm) but, can be portrait of landscape.
FIVE. Submissions must be sent as a low-res .jpeg file to [email protected] and
When sending the low-res file please ensure it’s saved ‘YourName.jpeg’ and you state in your email the book/author/quote your design is inspired by.
The deadline is Monday 21st May’18
Producing your screen prints
We can offer free use of our studio to successful submissions to print your own work but, if you aren’t printing yourself do be aware that the more colours you choose the more expensive it is to produce.
2018 Blisters show will be full to the brim with 50 artists, each with 50 signed and editioned screen prints selling for £50 a pop!
The idea is that whether you are just out of college, up and coming or a well-known artist, everyone is on the same level platform and the prints speak for themselves.
Our aim is to take affordable art prints to a wider demographic, encouraging buyers to invest in original artwork
Artists who have taken part in our Blisters show before include: Ben Eine, Jamie Reid, Mr Bingo, Pure Evil, Peter Stitson, Anthony Burrill, Hattie Stewart, Kate Moross, James Joyce, Clifford Richards, Mike Perry, Ryca and many, many more!
Submissions must be sent as a low-res .jpeg file to [email protected] and the deadline is Monday 21st May 2018
FAQs
Q: If I have artwork that I’ve used for previous projects, can I reprint this?
A: The artwork for your submission should be original. If there are elements from previous projects this is fine but the submission should appear to be new as a whole.
Q: Does the “poster” need to contain text or type?
A: No, this is up to you. “Poster” is the format size paper and the term we use to describe this. You can either:
1. Create artwork that is composed of an illustration or design inspired by a TV Show, or line from a show
2. Submit an entry composed entirely of a typographic design (as long as it does not mention the TV Show title/Character names
3. Mix the two!
Q: If I have several designs, can I submit more than one?
A: You can submit as many designs as you like!
Q: When the artwork is printed and signed, do we also need to put a title to it? For example; The TV show title or not, as it might give the game away?
A: The title of each print edition will be the same as the TV show it’s inspired by
Q: How much of that goes to the artist?
A: It’s a 50/50 split between the artist and Print Club London. The artist will receive 50% commission as will Print Club London
Q: What happens to prints, which remain unsold?
A: All prints are sold via Print Club London on our online gallery after the show.
Q: Do they remain the property of the artist or of London Print Club?
A: They’re owned by the artist/designer, but we retain the right to be the only seller of these prints as they are from a show we have curated.
Q: If ownership remains with the artist, can the artist resell them elsewhere – for example, through independent shops?
A: No, the prints can only be sold via Print Club London
Q: If the artist is not producing the prints themselves will Print Club be producing them?
A: The artists are liable for the printing the work. They can use our studios for free if they know how to print! If artists are unable to print, they can ask Tuckshop our bespoke printing service who, will offer a discount for all Blisters artists. This Year we’re sponsored by G.F Smith who are supplying all the paper for the show
Q: Who owns the rights to the image?
A: Artists always own the rights to their work. However a rule of Blisters is that the work cannot be reproduced at a later date as another screen print or giclée
Q: Can the artist/designer use the imagery for, their own products again? For example, using the imagery for t-shirts, greetings cards etc.
A: No, we ask that the image to be just for the show. This is what makes it ‘limited edition’ and this is a key part of Blisters.
Check out last year’s show;
The deadline for submission is Monday 21st May 2018
