Theo Ford, aka Mr.T.1973, is an Edinburgh born, East London based artist and designer. A graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. He is honoured with the Scottish International Trust Award by Sir Sean Connery and more recently with the Distinguished Design Award and commission for the inauguration of the New Emperor Naruhito of Japan.
Emerging from a long career in the textile and fashion industry, he has rekindled his passion for screen printing and is presently developing a new series of works on paper. Current projects include his PRINT POSITIVES series, a graphic play on the positive and negative space formed by typographic shapes, colour blocking and positive messaging. The series expands into motion graphic animations that bring these prints to life and builds on their message.
