Melissa North is a London based illustrator currently working from the print studio she established with her illustration collective in 2015. Physical process and rigorous experimentation with traditional and alternative printmaking techniques is what drives much of Melissa’s work. The happy accidents and hiccups that often occur through silk-screen print are what inspired Melissa’s passion for the process and regularly become a feature of her finished pieces. Inspired by travel, pattern and architecture, Melissa collages hand drawn, printed and photographic elements to create playful yet striking illustrations.
