Jenni Allen is a London based printmaker working in the medium of screen print. Her work encapsulates pattern, colour and proportion.
Using bold and satisfying palettes she plays with hand drawn pattern, geometry and found imagery and textures.
Favouring the hand made over digital, her preferred methods of stencil making for her screens include hand-cut paper and brush and ink on film. Abstracting details from architecture and natural forms, the work can have an element of repetition which is influenced by the artist’s textile design background.
