Girls on Film Exhibition by Joanna Ham

We LOVE seeing what our artists get up to outside of the screen printing studio, and Joanna from Ham has been busy with her current exhibition.
‘Girls on Film’ is a collaboration between Joanna and Billy Name. The photogram prints on display seek to explore the individuality of the modern woman, with particular reference to popular culture and its overwhelming influence on our everyday lives.
‘Girls on Film’ is on until TOMORROW Thursday 5th May at the Serena Morton gallery.
We also can’t get enough of Joanna’s limited edition affordable screen prints by Ham here at Print Club London! You can pick your favourite rabbit print here.

Joanna is meticulous in creating her range of mixed media collages, made from magazine cuttings, adverts and drawings. She then turns them into a photogram to creating a striking abstract silhouette. This is further deconstructed and rebuilt electronically, and once the piece is complete, it is silk screen printed.
The lasting effect is beautiful, creating an ethereal glow that adds real depth to the finished artwork.
